Healthier Chocolate Mint Tea Latte (Vegan, Natural, Lower-Sugar)

Healthier Chocolate Mint Tea Latte (Vegan, Natural, Lower-Sugar)


  • 2 bags of Wise Ape Chocolate Hustle Tea (or mint and black tea blend of your choosing)
  • 1/2 cup of hot boiling water
  • 6-8 mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1-3 teaspoons of unprocessed maple syrup
  • 10 grams (0.4 oz) of dairy-free dark chocolate 70% or over (about 1-2 squares)
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ cups of whole milk, almond milk, or nut milk for dairy free

How To Make

Chop chocolate into fine pieces. Set aside. Steep tea bags and fresh mint in the boiling water for 6 minutes. Carefully remove the leaves and tea bags. While the tea steeps heat the milk in a small pot over low heat until small bubbles begin to form. Stirring frequently with a whisk.

When the milk is hot, add chopped chocolate, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and salt to the hot milk. Continue whisking until the chocolate is completely melted. Remove from heat. Add the tea to the milk mixture. Stir until well combined.

Serve in a mug or for a thicker texture, optionally you can froth the milk with a milk frother and then pour it right into your mug. Optionally top with unsweetened whipped cream, sprinkle with cocoa, mint leaves, and/or grated dark chocolate shavings if desired. Enjoy!
