Chilly breezes, crisp air, and dreams of caramel apples… yep, tis the season for snuggling up with cozy drinks.

Nothing screams the fall more than hot drinks that taste like the season. For many of us, this means relying on trips to Starbucks to get our cozy autumn drink kick. And now with the introduction of newer fall flavors like the caramel apple spice latte, we have more than pumpkin spice and chai tea lattes to obsess over during the autumnal months.

Layered flavors of apple, cinnamon, and sugar are a dreamy combo for those of us who love the fall season and caramel apples. This is making the apple crisp macchiato a fall favorite for the second year in a row.

However, this drink isn’t exactly friendly to our health or pocket. The Apple Crisp Oat milk Macchiato grande at Starbucks has over 300 calories and a whopping 29 grams of sugar. Plus, weird colorings and artificial flavors.

Therefore, it’s important that we opt for more natural beverages, with ingredients that you can feel good about and pronounce. And this is what has inspired today’s recipe! Our homemade spiced apple drink you can drink all week long without worrying about artificial sweeteners and ridiculous amounts of calories. Plus, it won’t cost you over $5 dollars each time!

Today you can learn how to make spiced apple tea lattes that’ll be a perfectly healthy way to sip on cozy while curling up under a blanket and reading a good book this fall!

Spiced Apple Tea Latte Recipe (Healthy, Refined Sugar-Free, Natural)

Ingredients

  • 2 tea bags of Wise Ape Coconut Warrior tea blend
  • 1/2 cup of boiling water
  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened apple cider
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons of milk and 1/4 cup of warm frothed milk (we like oat milk, use almond milk for low carb)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of cloves
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg

How To Make:

In a large mug or small pitcher steep the two bags of Wise Ape Coconut Warrior tea in your boiling water for 6 to 7 minutes. When done steeping, remove the tea bags from the tea.

While your tea steeps, warm and combine the apple cider, maple syrup, milk, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg in a small saucepan over a low heat, stirring consistently. When heated and fully combined, remove the apple cider mix from the heat and stir well. Add the heated apple cider mixture to the tea in the mug, stir, and top it with the frothed milk. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, a dash of cinnamon, or a thin slice of apple.
